While we get word from Cranbrook, B.C. that the first snowfall of the season has arrived, I will take that news and know not to complain that we had a few days of rain here in Koh Lanta. I don't suspect we would get (nor deserve) much sympathy. But the rain did come, and that led us to enjoy a few hours doing what always works to kill time when rained in...play games! Nothing like a spirited game of Jenga to while away the hours.
Luckily by this point, the weather was back to normal, and tranquility was once more found at the beach. It is certainly a beautiful area.
The Dog Days Of Autumn
We were early for the tour so we got to hang out with the cats who loved having a cuddle. Our favourite was the gray one named Jasmine. She was adorable and was very insistent on being petted. We are not cat people but these were all lovely cats and we really enjoyed spending time with them.
They also help animals that have been beaten, stabbed, burned with hot oil or water, hit by vehicles or suffer from skin conditions. All with very little money and a lot of volunteers. They are always looking for vets or other veterinary professionals to donate a little time to help them.
