It was a wonderful place to stop, recharge the batteries a bit for the last third of the trip remaining, and to really buckle down and get lots of schoolwork done! The weather being what it was actually helped in that regard, as many of the days it was just too too cold and rainy to go sightseeing.
What follows are just some pictures that we managed to take during the dry moments that we were lucky to get, and that we wanted to share. No big stories to tell to go along with them. If, as they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words", then we hope you enjoy the following 11,000 words.
We fly to Rome on Monday, March 2, and plan to do a huge walking tour of the sites with Michelle's brother Ryan the next day. Until then, thanks for reading!
